Nav Dhaliwal is a corporate, commercial lawyer with a focus on securities, tax law and general corporate transactions. He works with small to mid-sized businesses and private corporations on a variety of business ventures.

Nav works with clients on tax planning, compliance, and tax-focused corporate transactions. He has also implemented corporate reorganizations for businesses in a variety of industries and provided advice on merger and acquisition transactions. Nav has also worked with small and mid-sized private and public issuers on securities related matters including the preparation of information circulars, capital raising transactions, general securities and corporate compliance.

After law school in England, Nav worked at TD Canada Trust as an advisor while completing his NCA requirements. After receiving the accreditation, Nav worked in a small general practice firm in Calgary for 10 months before heading to the University of British Columbia to obtain his Master of Laws in Taxation and received the Tax Executive Institute Award.

Nav joined Field Law as an articling student in 2019 and was called to the Alberta Bar in November 2020. 

Outside the Office

Nav is an avid sports fan. He spends his free time outdoors and relaxing with his family. Nav has been to over 20 countries, needless to say, he loves traveling.
