Carolyn Paterson practices in the areas of insurance, estate litigation and municipal law, championing for her clients through oral and written advocacy.
Carolyn’s insurance defence practice is primarily focused on motor vehicle claims, professional liability, occupiers’ liability, property loss and condominium disputes. She also pursues subrogated actions for insurers, provides coverage opinions and has a unique municipal law skillset, having formerly practiced as a litigator with the City of Calgary.
In her estate litigation practice Carolyn assists clients navigate wills, power of attorney and capacity disputes. She draws upon her experience and strategic mindset to craft compassionate and effective approaches that align with client objectives at every stage of litigation.
Carolyn has represented clients in the Provincial Court of Alberta, Court of King’s Bench and Alberta Court of Appeal, at trial, in mediations, judicial dispute resolutions and in commercial and civil chambers. With over 10 years of litigation experience she has a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
Outside the Office
Outside of the office, Carolyn can be found adventuring in the mountains or cheering on her two energetic sons in their various sports pursuits.
