Michael Casey KCOverview Experience Professional Recognition Community News + Views + Events Michael Casey's preferred area of practice is civil litigation and dispute resolution primarily in the areas of insurance and surety, construction and business law.
As counsel on behalf of insurers, sureties, contractors and corporations, he has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta, the Supreme Court of Canada and numerous administrative tribunals. Michael has assisted clients with various forms of alternate dispute resolution including private mediation, judicial mediation and arbitration. He has provided advice and representation to insurers in matters relating to motor vehicle, property, commercial general liability, professional liability, errors and omissions, coverage opinions and defence of coverage actions.
Michael has extensive experience in providing defence in product liability cases. He has represented major energy and construction companies in respect of commercial, tort, contract and environmental litigation.
Michael has completed the arbitration course with the Arbitration and Mediation Association of Alberta and the Institute of Corporate Directors course.
