Gina Linden is Manager, Library Services of Field Law's Edmonton, Calgary, Yellowknife, and Canmore libraries. She has worked in libraries and with library technologies since 2011.
Gina finds it immensely rewarding to help Fielders obtain key resources that benefit their clients. Her dedication to finding solutions instead of dwelling on problems and her persistence in delivering accurate and timely information make her an invaluable asset.
She excels in fostering positive vendor relationships and skillfully negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effective access to valuable resources. Gina diligently monitors budgets and tracks expenses, identifying opportunities to save costs whenever possible. Additionally, she provides training on best research practices, specialized topics, and research tools to Fielders, ensuring they have the knowledge they need to succeed. Her role also involves providing reference and research support and guiding the professional development of her team while fostering a positive work environment.
Outside the Office
Gina stays up to date on news and politics, keeping herself informed on the world around her. As an avid reader, she indulges in literary fiction, psychological thrillers, horror, and narrative non-fiction. When she's not absorbed in a book, she enjoys engaging in marathon board gaming, curling, and analyzing The X-Files. She also loves to travel to new places and explore different cultures.
