Amy Jakus is a real estate paralegal in our Edmonton office. She enjoys solving problems for her clients such as quick closings, difficult lenders, or other contractual obligations to ensure that deals close and clients gain possession of their new home.
The legal field has always been part of her life. When Amy was a child, her mother started her paralegal career and together her parents started a process server business. Amy would visit her mom at her law office during school breaks for lunch, and occasionally helped with process serving.
What brings Amy the most joy is witnessing the happiness of her clients when they recognize the hard work and dedication she puts into getting them across the finish line. Their satisfaction is the driving force behind her commitment to providing exceptional service.
Value to Clients
"My passion for real estate is felt most when working with first time homebuyers, first-time sellers, and newcomers to the Province of Alberta. It is a priority to answer all the questions that they may have and provide tips of what to expect or how to avoid any potential problems. Buying and selling real estate can be stressful, and my goal is to provide them with the confidence that they are supported in every step of the way."
Outside the Office
When Amy is not in the office, she enjoys traveling, live music, spending time with her husband and her dogs. Her favourite place to visit is the East Kootenays of British Columbia to enjoy year-round activities such as snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and paddleboarding. She is a self-professed fair-weather cyclist and enjoys a ride through the city for her commute to the office on a sunny day. Amy has competed in two rewarding and memorable races: the Bike to End MS and The Prospera Granfondo Axel Merckx Okanagan.
