Field Law is thrilled to announce that we have expanded our Wills, Estates, + Trusts Team. We welcome Amie Heil, TEP to the partnership and both Rhonda Johnson, MBA, TEP and Patty Ko as counsel. All three are based out of our Edmonton office, bringing their wealth of experience and dedication to serving our clients in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and British Columbia.

About Amie Heil, TEP

With a deep understanding of both estate and corporate law, Amie brings a well-rounded perspective to her practice. She helps individuals, trustees, and business owners navigate the complexities of estate planning and administration. She provides thoughtful guidance on drafting wills, enduring power of attorney, personal directives, and trusts, ensuring her clients' wishes are clearly documented and legally sound. Amie also assists families through the estate administration process, from obtaining grants of probate and administration to managing the many legal details that come with settling an estate.

About Rhonda Johnson, MBA, TEP

With decades of experience as an estates lawyer, Rhonda helps individuals, trustees, business founders, and the next generation navigate the complexities of trusts, estate planning, and estate administration. With a deep understanding of wealth transfer and legacy planning, she provides tailored solutions for clients with connections to Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories. Her practice includes advising on trust structures, multiple wills planning, incapacity planning, and multi-generational wealth strategies to ensure long-term financial security.

About Patty Ko

Patty brings her knowledge in wills, estates, and trusts to help guides clients through all aspects of estate planning, administration, and dependent adult matters. She has a strong background in resolving high-conflict estate disputes, including family maintenance and support claims, conflicts between personal representatives and beneficiaries, property disputes, and will challenges. With a foundation in commercial litigation, Patty has the ability to navigate both the planning and litigation sides of estates to provide strategic, practical solutions.
