Field Law is now accepting applications for its 11^th annual Field Law Community Fund Program. Charitable organizations, community associations and individuals located in Alberta and the Northwest Territories (NWT) are encouraged to apply. Applications close on October 2, 2023.

Programs and ideas that meet the application requirements could receive up to $30,000 to make their idea come to life. Field Law particularly encourages ideas and causes that support education, healthcare, at-risk youth, homelessness, women’s organizations, diversity, equality, community and sports, or arts and culture. However, Field Law encourages any idea that makes their community a better place to apply.

“The Field Law Community Fund Program allows us to support change-makers and those bringing innovative ideas forward in support of the community,” says Field Law Managing Partner, Jeremiah Kowalchuk. “The organizations and ideas that have been supported in the past have had measurable and ongoing impacts in our community. We look forward to supporting some amazing programs again in 2023.”

2023 represents the 11^th annual iteration of the Community Fund Program. Over that time, Field Law has awarded $760,000 to amazing causes in Alberta and the NWT. Giving back to the communities in which Field Law operates is core to the firm’s values. In total, $75,000 is available to be awarded through this year’s program.

The $75,000 will be divided into three Community Markets, $30,000 will be available in each of Southern Alberta and Northern Alberta as well as another $15,000 available for the NWT.

Beginning on October 5^th, residents of Alberta and the NWT will be able to vote on their favourite ideas through a voting portal provided by Field Law. Funding Recipients will be decided through a combination of public voting and local Community Market Judging Panels.
