Field Law Announces Five New Partners

The Firm welcomes Anthony Burden, Jason Kully, Lisa Statt Foy, Britt Tetz, and Matthew Turzansky to its partnership.

Field Law is pleased to welcome Anthony Burden, Jason Kully, Lisa Statt Foy, Britt Tetz, and Matthew Turzansky as partners of the Firm. The addition of five lawyers to Field’s partnership is a reflection of the Firm’s growth in 2020, and its continued expansion and diversification in key service areas in 2021.

“Admitting new partners is an important and significant event not only for the new partners, but for the firm itself,” said Jeremiah Kowalchuk, the Firm’s Managing Partner. “Great care is taken in making sure that new partners will meet our high standards for client service, collegiality, and professionalism. We are confident that having Anthony, Lisa, Jason, Britt, and Matthew join the partnership will be of great benefit to Field and strengthen the firm for years to come.”

Anthony, Jason, Lisa, Britt and Matthew embody the Firm’s commitment to outstanding legal support, offering their individual experience in a range of specializations:

Anthony Burden, who joined the Firm in 2015, is a Calgary-based lawyer focused in the areas of construction, general litigation, and insurance. Anthony’s clients are diverse and represent multiple industry sectors, and range in size from individuals to multinational organizations.

Jason Kully, who joined Field Law in 2013, is an Edmonton-based lawyer serving clients in the areas of professional regulation and labour and employment. Jason’s clients include professional regulatory organizations, post-secondary institutions, and businesses of all sizes. Jason recently co-authored The Annotated Health Professions Act, which is a practical guide for legal counsel and regulators and includes extensive annotations, commentary, templates and flowcharts.

Lisa Statt Foy, who joined the Firm in 2004, is a Calgary-based lawyer and trademark agent providing services in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, trusts, and intellectual property.  She is uniquely qualified to assist with succession planning: ensuring a seamless transition of wealth, business assets and technology for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurial families, business owners and successful professionals.

Britt Tetz, who joined Field Law in 2016, is an Edmonton-based lawyer whose practice is focussed in corporate, commercial and real estate law. Britt advises clients on a broad range of matters including corporate organization and governance, purchases and sales of businesses and commercial property, financing and leasing.

Matthew Turzansky, who joined Field Law in 2012, has experience in the areas of general litigation, wills and estates, construction law, and pension law and administration. Matthew provides legal services to clients across Alberta and the Northwest Territories, including large, public-facing institutions, and small-to-medium-sized businesses.

Field Law is looking forward to seeing Anthony, Jason, Lisa, Britt and Matthew thrive in their new roles while continuing to serve the Firm’s current and future clients.
