Field Law is proud to announce that it will be honoured at the upcoming 2019 Women in Law Leadership Awards with the Law Firm Award, presented by The Counsel Network and The Association of Women Lawyers.  The Law Firm Award is presented to a firm operating in Alberta that best demonstrates leadership in fostering an inclusive environment for female lawyers. Specifically, it celebrates a law firm that:

• Fosters the inclusion of female lawyers, as demonstrated by its internal policies and procedures and how they are implemented
• Achieves the promotion of female lawyers into senior positions and the hiring of female students and lawyers for future leadership roles, and
• Supports women in both the legal and business communities.

The Women in Law Leadership (WILL) Awards are presented annually to recognize contributions by female members of the Alberta legal profession in a variety of areas.  The award will be presented to members of Field Law during a dinner being held at The Fairmont Palliser on November 21, 2019, in Calgary.

Field’s commitment to and recognition of the importance of gender diversity has led to the Firm creating progressive policies relating to Maternity Leave, Parental Leave, Flexible Work Arrangements, Alternative Career Paths, and Equality and Diversity. Notably, Field Law has a 40% / 60% ratio of female to male lawyers, and a 55% / 45% female to male ratio among its associate lawyers.
