    The successful candidate will have proficiency in most or all of the following areas:

    • Management of files including pleadings, questionings, applications, pre-trial conferences, mediations and trials.
    • Analyze the probable outcome of claims.
    • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for trial or to negotiate settlement.
    • Gather and examine evidence to ascertain the facts of the case.

    Qualifications + Skills

    • A current active membership with a Canadian Law Society, with 3-5 years of demonstrated competency in insurance defence or other litigation;
    • Demonstrated experience synthesizing complex information and crafting clear and persuasive written and oral arguments;
    • Solid technical grounding in legal research demonstrating an attention to detail combined with superior evaluative and analytical abilities;
    • The ability to work independently and within a team; and

    • Strong client service skills.
