Lindsey Miller joined Field Law in 2007 after articling with the Alberta Court of Appeal. She became a partner in 2013.
Lindsey’s practice is primarily in commercial litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of security enforcement, bankruptcy and insolvency litigation, collections, commercial lease disputes, Condominium Property Act matters and foreclosures. She also practices in the area of Metis/First Nations law and privacy law.
Lindsey serves as legal counsel to a major lending institution and bank, trustees and receivers, various condominium corporations, commercial property owners and landlords, several large provincial and federally regulated corporations and a Metis Settlement.
Lindsey has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, including the Alberta Court of Appeal, as well as representing clients in commercial arbitrations.
More recently, Lindsey appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of a Metis Settlement in a significant constitutional matter.
She is a contributor to the annual text Protection of Privacy in Canadian Private and Health Sectors and to Bullen & Leake & Jacob’s Canadian Precedents of Pleadings (first and second edition.)
Lindsey is bilingual and can provide service to clients in French and English.
